If your plan is listed, I'll bill your insurance company directly for services. You'll be responsible for any copayments, deductibles, or coinsurance as described in your plan.

  • Copayments: This is a fixed amount you pay for a covered healthcare service, usually when you receive the service.

  • Deductibles: This is the amount you pay for covered health care services before your insurance plan starts to pay.

  • Coinsurance: This is your share of the costs of a covered health care service, usually calculated as a percentage of the allowed amount for the service.

Important:

  • Insurance plans and networks can change frequently.

  • It's crucial that you contact your insurance provider directly using the number on the back of your insurance card to confirm your coverage and understand your out-of-pocket costs. Insurance plans can have specific requirements for mental health services, and coverage can vary significantly.

  • I'm happy to help you understand your benefits if needed.

Out-of-Network Insurance

If your insurance plan isn't listed above, you may still have out-of-network benefits. This means you'll pay for sessions at the time of service using cash, credit card, or a health savings account and then submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement. I'll provide a detailed receipt ("superbill") with the necessary information for your claim, such as diagnosis codes, service dates, and fees upon request. I will also provide you with Good Faith Estimate.

Remember:

  • Reimbursement amounts vary depending on your plan. Some plans may reimburse a certain percentage of the allowed amount for out-of-network mental health services.

  • To avoid any surprises, please contact your insurance company directly to understand your out-of-network coverage.

  • I'm happy to clarify any questions you may have about this process.
